Darmawansah is an Assistant Professor in the Global Foreign Language Education Program, International College at Providence University, Taiwan. His work focuses on technology-enhanced learning, particularly the integration of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and metaverse environments to support language learning, argumentation, and collaborative knowledge construction.
He received his doctoral degree from the Graduate Institute of Digital Learning and Education at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech). His research explores innovative instructional designs, including AI-supported learning, immersive environments, and dialogical reasoning, with a strong emphasis on both cognitive and social dimensions of learning.
Darmawansah is actively involved in international research collaborations and interdisciplinary projects, including studies on metaverse-based argumentation learning and AI-assisted feedback systems. His work has been published in leading journals in educational technology and learning sciences.
In addition to his research, he teaches courses on digital learning design, generative AI in education, and future education, where he guides students to develop innovative, technology-driven learning solutions. He also serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Linguistics and English Teaching and contributes as a reviewer and program committee member for international conferences in learning technologies.
